Kelley and Alex Duo

Alex has teamed up with soprano Kelley Lonergan and together, have devised an ecclectic programme of music that visits all four corners of the globe. Both favourites and lesser-known works from the song and operatic repertoire are reimagined and accompanied by a variety of tuned percussion instruments.

While it might seem at first glance that a percussion and voice combination would not yield much, the use of tuned instruments like the marimba and vibraphone helps to draw out colours and aspects of the music that might not have been as clear in normal circumstances.
